Glen Eden Pilot Park
The Glen Eden Pilot Park is a great little community park just outside the 440 Beltline, not far from Crabtree Valley. There are multiple entrances from the nearby neighborhoods. The main entrance on Glen Eden has a large parking lot and is the quickest way to reach the community center building, available for hosting events or meetings. There’s also an entrance from Blue Ridge road that offers quick access to the park’s well-maintained tennis courts.
A good sized picnic shelter is situated near a nice grassy area perfect for Frisbee or tossing a football. There’s also a small playground area and basketball courts. I usually like to dig up some history on the parks I post about, but couldn’t find much. Anything you’d like to share? Post in the comments!
