Nina - I'm not sure. The park is primarily focused on recreational swimming, but it may feature a warm-water area. You might check with the park management at 919-831-6836.

Pleased to hear about the new pool at Buffaloe Road. Will it have an area of warm water for arthritis classes? Pullen Park pool has one but it's in the same water as the infants' class with the babies' diaper contents in the same water--not very nice nor healthy for older folks.

I don't. And unfortunately, there's no info on Raleigh's site about it: http://www.raleighnc.gov/home/content/PRecDesignDevelop/Articles/ParkAndGreenwayPlanningAndDevelopment.html

You might try emailing parkplan@raleighnc.gov and check with them!

Do you have any more information about the Watkins Road park? Like when construction will begin and when it will be completed?

Thanks

The Falls Whitewater Park Committee, Inc. greatly appreciates your mention of the proposed Falls Whitewater Park here. We believe that the plans for the facility being compared to Charlotte's US National Whitewater Center give the public a mistaken concept of what the Raleigh facility is envisioned to be. If we could direct interested visitors to our website, www.fallswhitewaterpark.org, we hope that a FAQ there on this very topic will give an objective comparison of the two and give your readers a better idea of what is being considered. Thanks for the opportunity to comment!
